Alberto Green was born in Puerto Rico in 1974. In the early 90's, he migrated with his family to Costa Rica, where he began his studies in mechanical engineering and architecture. Ten years later he returned to Puerto Rico, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He has worked extensively as a designer and project manager, as professor for computer aided design courses and as accessibility compliance inspector for federal projects. In 2006 he established his private practice, serie-s, to provide consulting services in design, project management and digital fabrication. He has been involved in several high-technological design projects, including Univision Puerto Rico’s recording studios, T-Mobile’s switch facilities, Microsoft Puerto Rico’s offices and in security projects for the Puerto Rico Ports Authority. Since 2010, he has been working on the development, design and management of innovative security projects in Mexico, the United States and Albania at seaports, border crossings and critical facilities. He is also working in the design of a radiotherapy clinic in Albania. This constant merging of design and technology has led him to enter the world of digital manufacturing, whose tools allows him to explore and materialize designs on a smaller scale, closer to the human scale.
